Hologram projection becomes reality?
Design company called Bleen shocked the world by saying it is developing a hologram projector which could become available October next year? How about that? A working hologram projector might soon be coming to your living room. Science Fiction becomes reality.
In the press release Bogdan Shevchuk (Bleen Inc. CEO) says; “the ultimate goal is to bring a real consumer product to the market that enables everyone to watch 3D content in spatial quality.” Well-known innovators with a holography and filmmaking background work on the project. So maybe, although it seems rather impossible, the product will be available in October 2015.
For their actual projection process Bleen consists of a combination of lasers, illumination and a special lens for projection. An actual demonstration of the spatialized projector hasn’t been seen. So it is a big promise the guys make. Many scientific researchers who work in holography have vetted each moving part that comprises the Bleen. The holographic display runs on “Bleen OS,”. The specifications section on IndieGogo, and on the Bleen website, say that Bleen has already begun building an app store which will include a wide range from fitness apps through video games and virtual personalities.
Bleen is looking for big funding. But before you go to InDieGoGo have a look at the disclaimer. “Bleen disclaims all warranties, expressed or implied, including any warranties of accuracy, non-infringement, merchantability and fitness for a specific purpose.” Until now many IndieGogo followers gave Bleen $38,032 headstart towards their $225,000 goal.
But be aware it could also be the biggest crowdfunding scam ever!
