Enough is enough: reset of growth

We live in a world where we continuously pursue economic growth. But with this we are also exhausting our natural environment. The short documentary questions our addiction to economic growth.

On Extend Limits we defined the reset of economic growth as one of the major trends we are now seeing. A trend which is affecting many off our current systems. We believe that we are in a fundamental transition in which humanity and especially Western societies have to reset thier view on economic growth, wealth and progress. We live on a planet with a closed system which isn’t able to support our way of living. And nowadays our economic systems collapse when we do not consume enough to keep our old fashioned and wasteful industries going. So we have to start consuming more to get the economies going. But we have a bigger challenge and that is to live within the limits of our planet. To get more equality and growth in which we take care of our planet. The only way to achieve this is to reset our views on our economic systems, our consumption patterns, distribution and production processes.

The short documentary Enough is enough give you a glimpse on how it could be. Enough Is Enough lays out a visionary but realistic alternative to the perpetual pursuit of economic growth—an economy where the goal is enough, not more. Based on the best-selling book by Rob Dietz and Dan O’Neill, the film explores specific strategies to fix the financial system, reduce inequality, create jobs, and more. Drawing on the expertise of Tim Jackson, Kate Pickett, Andrew Simms, Natalie Bennett, and Ben Dyson, Enough Is Enough is the primer for achieving genuine prosperity and a hopeful future for all.
