De 5 hoofdtrends in design 2009

Het laatste David Report heeft als titel '5 key design trends' en noemt deze: Cooltural, Rationaissance, Responsibiz, Sensuctive and Breaking Boundaries. De reden om je eens te verdiepen in deze trends wordt gegeven door Faith Popcorn die een interview gaf voor dit rapport. Haar antwoord op de vraag hoe je het meest uit de huidige situatie (lees recessie) moet halen luidt als volgt:

Recognize that this is not the beginning of the recession—this is the end of the world as we have known it.

Ze vervolgt: "Be willing and open to change—everything—because business as usual simply isn't anymore. Decision making is going to become much more rational vs. emotional; be prepared for that level of scrutiny. Tell the truth. Over-tell the truth. They will discover all you are hiding. Give service, service, service."
