TwittARound: Twitter meets Augmented Reality
Augmented reality (AR) is becoming more and more a hype. This because we see AR being used for purposes which are not always using the advantages of AR in my opinion. An example is TwittARound.
TwittAround is an Augmented Reality (beta version) 'Twitter viewer' for the Iphone 3GS. What does this application? Well maybe you are able to guess it. TwittARound shows you the live tweets in you surroundings. So you are able to see who is Twittering and where they are.
Now do I see a lot of applications and services of which I think: what is the purpose of this and the application TwittARound is one of them. I really do not see the advantage of knowing who is twittering around you and what is he twittering. But looking back in history more services of which I thought this will be not a success became a hit. What do you think? Will TwittARound become a service which will be adopted by the crowd?
