Nanotechnology, todays examples

Sing Land Bio Tech is a world class leader in the field of nano technology. They currently bring two consumer products on which nanotechnology has been applied – it's socks and toothpaste.

Sing Land Bio Tech added nano-scale silver particles to these product ... why?

As we all know all to well, both socks and toothpaste have a direct correlation with each other, being ... germs. And silver can be used to fight germs. But by adding silver at a nano scale, the properties of destroying germs is amplified by hundred fold. So, socks can be worn much longer, and toothpaste has more effect.

In the near future, the number of nanotechnology applications will explode. There is paint in development which includes nanotechnology particles that can resist heat, are scratch proof and resist dirt (will not stick). The automotive industry sees these developments as both an opportunity as well as a threat. What will the future bring for auto shops? Less damage means less income or none at all. These paints also offer various opportunities such as adding sensors to the paint to make me outer body respond intelligently. This means continues monitoring of the vehicle by the service provider, giving the utmost service possible. Or simply allowing the car to change colour, as a added feature, to alert the driver something is wrong with the car or just for fun.

The examples above show us that nanotechnology can already be used to improve our quality of life. It is no longer rocket science but available for every day use.
