Interactive glasses allow interaction with content

Displays in glasses are not new. The German Fraunhofer Institute for Photonic Microsystems added a new feature: eye-tracking. This results in glasses that can be used as a display and you can control the PC with the movement with your eyes.

The Fraunhofer Institute for Photonic Microsystems has combined a eye-tracking device and a OLED projector on a 19x17 millimeter CMOS-chip. This small chip can be mounted on glasses. The image is directly projected on your retina. This causes an high definition image at one meter away and the eye-tracker registers the movement of the eye-ball. With easy movement of the eye you can give instructions to your PC such as showing a new page of information.
