The disappearence of language problems by the internet
Have trouble talking to your friends oversee because of the difference in language? Well in the future this will be no problem anymore.
We have recently seen several technologies in the news which all claim to solve the barrier of all the different languages in the world. Those technologies promise a lot and would be a good solution for lots of arguments and misunderstandings in the world. We know the initiatives of for example XS2theworld, Entaco (UT-103) and NEC. Important question: is this going to work in the future? Speech technology as seen in the movie will not break down the barriers. But when it becomes available for small mobile devices it will become a success.
