Gaming with your Adidas shoe
Adidas introduces a totally new concept for their shoes: gaming in virtual world with your shoe as a controller. In February 2010 the first shoe will hit the market.
Eveyone does something with augmented reality so why not Adidas? Adidas made a virtual 3d world which is accessible via the new Adidas sport shoe. With this Adidas created a virtual experience on a physical product to enhance the product experience. All you have to do for this is go to the Adidas website and hold the code on your shoe for your webcam. And then you will get a whole new virtual experience around your shoe.
Adidas is now planning to develop three games specially for the new shoe line. Adidas does this in cooperation with games developer xForm.
What will such a shoe cost? After a short online search trip we found prices between 65 and 95 dollar.
