Nintendo Wii is compared to this childs play. From now on you can control you games by your mind. Emotiv Systems, an organisation in electronic gaming, offers gamers the opportunity to control special games by mind. Via Emotiv Encephalograph Caps and tool kits you can actually participate in games on three ways:
- an application to sense facial expressions such as winks, grimaces, and smiles and transfer them, in real time, to an avatar. So wink and your avatar does also.
- an application to detect two emotional states, such as excitement and calm. Also very handy to the way your avatar communicates.
3. an application to move, roll and lift objects in the virtual world.
To control computer by mind isn't new. It is a very well know science on several universities. In the gaming industries Emotiv is quite innovative. This because the technology is no longer just for scientist but available for the public. The way we interact with machines is still in the beginning of the devellopment stage. In the near future we not have keyboards but control machines mainly by speech and mind.
